Just got two sets of these bags and hit the trails for 5 days. Mud was no problem, but dust gummed up the zippers. I think this is typical and once they were free there was no problem.I didn't know if I would like the front drop down on the side bags but they are really handy. Plenty of pockets and the large bag across the back in much better than the typical larger side bags.
